Micah Macaulay Elevated to Associate

September 12, 2023

Patterhn Ives is pleased to announce that Micah Macaulay has been promoted to Associate.

Micah has been a key team member since 2019 and has contributed to significant projects from conceptual design through construction completion. A few notable projects include the John Goodman Amphitheater at Missouri State University, the College of Optometry at the University of Missouri – St. Louis, and the relocation of the Departments of Music and Art & Design also at UMSL. In addition, he’s contributed as a design leader on the redevelopment of Love Bank Park in St. Louis’ Cherokee Street neighborhood.

“Associate-level positions establish a bridging role among studio team members and practice leadership; recognizing critical areas of expertise and acumen as well as demonstrated passion to both design excellence and mentorship vital to the long-term success of Patterhn Ives.” Anna Ives, Managing Partner

Micah advocates for a high level of engagement in solving complex design problems. He brings a highly collaborative spirit to projects while maintaining a rigorous and thoughtful design process. He believes that a focused design practice must be increasingly accessible, critical, interdisciplinary, and optimistic. This approach aligns with the foundational tenets of Patterhn Ives.

Micah graduated with honors from the Graduate School of Architecture and Urban Design at Washington University in St. Louis, where he received Masters Degrees in Architecture and Landscape Architecture.

Please join us in recognizing, Micah.
